Frequently Asked Questions
How do I RSVP and when should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP via the RSVP tab by 4th July 2025, otherwise we will assume that you can't make it.
We will also contact you closer to the date to confirm your meal choices, which you will also be able to do via the RSVP page.
When should I arrive at Islington Town Hall?
Please aim to arrive by 13.15 latest to allow for plenty of time to be taken up to the room and settle in. At the entrance of the Town Hall, staff will be able to greet you and show you to the Richmond Suite. If you arrive earlier than 13.15, please gather outside the Town Hall building.
There are a lot of weddings every day at the Town Hall and our time slot is non-negotiable. If you arrive after 13.30, you will not be admitted to the room.
I'm an evening guest. When should I arrive at The Old Brewery?
Please arrive from 19.00 for the evening drinks reception & music. You're also welcome to arrive earlier and grab a drink in the main pub area.
What is the dress code?
Cocktail. We'd love everyone to dress up for the day, but you don't need to be too formal - we want everyone to be comfortable!
Our main request is that, if possible, you wear something that you either: already own; borrow/rent from someone; or, if you really want to buy something new, that you'll love & wear again. We don't mind if you've worn it to other weddings/parties before (you'll be seeing a lot of Cal's suit in the future, and maybe Jess' dress…)
- Women - Any length dress, or a trouser suit/jumpsuit. You do not need to wear a hat or fascinator (and we'd prefer if you didn't). No trainers (but feel free to bring comfy shoes for the evening if you want!).
- Men - A suit or a nice shirt & trousers. There's no need to wear a tie, but Cal & others will be. No jeans, no trainers.
- Evening guests - Feel free to dress a bit more casual, although still no jeans please.
Are there any colors you'd prefer me to wear or avoid?
No! Wear any colour/pattern you want to (including clothing containing white/cream/off-white), we don't mind at all. There is no colour scheme.
Do you have a registry?
We don't expect you to give us anything, but if you would like to we have a registry here.
Who should I address things to?
We're both keeping our own last names, and will keep using the titles Ms and Mr, so please address any post to Ms Rome and/or Mr Calder.
Will any of the wedding be outdoors?
Yes, so please bring a coat!
There will be confetti pictures at the entrance to the Town Hall following the ceremony, and at the reception, the pre and post dinner drinks receptions are going to be held outside - whatever the weather.
There are covered areas in case it rains, but there are no heaters.
If you don't feel comfortable being outside for this long, please get in touch with us.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
When you go to RSVP, named plus ones and their invite details will show up when you enter your name. Please do not bring a plus one unless they are named on the RSVP.
If you've got any specific questions about plus ones, please get in touch with us.
Can I bring luggage during the day?
No - there is no luggage storage at either venue or on the bus, so please arrage to leave it at your hotel or elsewhere.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We will be having a sit down meal at about 17.00. There will also be snacks on the bus, and evening food at the reception.
If you have an allergy or intolerance that we might not be aware of, please let us know. We will be reaching out to ask you for your menu choices closer to the date of the wedding, and you can request alternatives at this point too. There will definitely be gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options (or a combination of all/some of these).
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Please do not take photos during the ceremony itself, but otherwise, we would love it if you took photos & videos of the day. Closer to the day, we will share a link for you to upload any photos to a shared album, so that everyone can access them!
